Stuff and Things | Sydney Dog Photographer

Excuse me for a minute while I jump on the complaining about Facebook bandwagon! If you’re not an active fan of my pages (liking or commenting on photos/status updates) you will no longer see my posts in your news feed. They’ve also gotten rid of the option to send a message to all my page likers, which I’m not too happy about. Soooo, the time has come to make myself a proper mailing list for keeping in touch with everyone. If you’d like to be added to the list please email Ruthless Photos and/or Ruthless Leather with “mailing list” as the subject.

Here are some things you might have missed since the Facebook changes took effect…

The gorgeous Texas [AKA Mr May in my calendar] spent the night here before going to his new home.

Petey is still here. But that’s ok because he’s proving to be quite a good little photographer’s muse.

His PetRescue profile is here. Please share it far and wide so we might find little orphan Petey a home for Christmas! [Pathetic enough?!]

Petey has such a great temperament that he was invited to be a dog ambassador at the anti-BSL rally that was held in Sydney a few weeks ago. Another ambassador there was Becks the white Boxer. Swoon!

More photos from the day are here.

Other posts you might have missed were Petey and Bruno’s Halloween photos. I know, I know…

And in the spirit of saving the best for last, I also announced an exclusive offer for Facebookers, but you’ll have to go to my page to see what it is!

Ohhhhh, and the calendars arrived from the printers. But they’re nearly sold out now, so that must be old news!

Kirstie - Oh me oh my they are both just gorgeous stud muffins! love!

Simon - Please blog more often Ruth, that towel shot is total genius! love the others too.

Call for models > Syd | Commercial dog photographer

I often get approached by companies looking to purchase my images for commercial purposes. Occasionally I’ll arrange sessions where I shoot specifically for this market and waive the session fee.

Yes, yes, my dog was born to model, how do I get involved?
Your dog is:
_ pure or mixed breed
_ any age
_ photogenic and confident in front of the camera
_ human and dog friendly
_ calm and well tempered
_ trained [sit, drop, long stay, recall under distraction]

I’m currently only looking for dog models, but I may open it up to other pets in the future.

If you answered yes [or just nodded in agreement] with all the points above please email models@ruthlessphotos.com and we can discuss specifics.

If you have a doggy superstar but you’re based in South East Queensland, you might like to contact Charlotte Reeves instead.
