New Bed! | Sydney Dog Photographer

The zipper on the dog bed in our living room broke recently. I was reluctant to fork out big bucks for another one, but every time I turned my back the wretched Staffys pulled the stuffing out of it and it was breaking my heart! I stumbled across Molly Mutt on Facebook. They sell covers for dog beds in really hip fabrics which are 100% cotton and pre-shrunk. It was the prefect solution as the bed didn’t need to be thrown out altogether, it just needed a new cover. They also sell a “stuff sack” so you can make your own bed using old towels, pillows, clothes, etc.! Such a great idea.

Here’s three of ours modeling it. Ivan doesn’t like to fraternise with the riff-raff. He was nearby though, waiting for some photo session treats!

Ty - Love this shot!

Ruth[less] - Thanks!!

molly mundt - ruth, thank you so SO much for posting this!! i’ve added your blog to the molly mutt blog, because basically? you = awesome!

Ruth[less] - Oh yeah, forgot to mention I ordered by email because their website isn’t setup to accept international orders.

Linda Kitson - Hi Ruth

where did you buy it – did you order it direct from their website or via a different location – these look awesome

Those eyes | Sydney Dog Photographer

I just can’t look into those eyes without my heart melting. Surely she’s the cutest little dog in the whole world?

Angel’s gone back to being my favourite Staffy again!

Emilee Fuss - The way she’s laying there and looking at you… it just slays me! So precious. Love your work, Ruth!

Ruth[less] - Thanks Ian :)

Ian Jeffery - Cool, well i LOVE your photos, they have that natural look to them, not over done, just nice :) Its nice to see another staffy fan, i would love to have loads of staffy’s they are the BEST! :)

Ruth[less] - Not really, I’ve made my own presets in Lightroom so my workflow is quite streamlined :)

Ian Jeffery - She is so lush! She reminds me so much of my staffy, Basil, the eyes, they are adorable :) Oh…can i ask a boring technical question…i love the processing on your photos, do you spend much time post processing? :)

Why always Chopper?

People often ask why I take so many photos of Chopper and not more of the other three. Perhaps our Christmas card photos will shed some light on the issue!

Mel Sweeney - I’ve just been reading backwards through your blog posts Ruth and have wanted to comment on a few but thought I’d restrain myself, but this… I laughed and couldn’t stop giggling and just had to say how FUNNY your crew look in this. Every time I look at Angel’s expression I start giggling again. Chop Chop is definitely your professional.

Still smiling…

Ruth[less] - Thanks! I kinda like them too :)

Anita - hahaha, these photos kill me…you have the best bunch of dogs!!

XXX-rated!

Angel just lurrrrrves licking Chopper’s dick! What’s even more disturbing is how much he seems to enjoy it!!

Unfortunately the love doesn’t last for long!

Kristin - OMG I about did myself a damage laughing!

Astred - Haha that's really disturbing Ruth. Thanks for sharing in such an artistic way.

You’ll never pee alone

No point trying to avoid it.

If you’re going to the toilet around these parts you’ll be doing it with an audience.

It’s as simple as that!

Ruth[less] - I have not a single one of my photos printed :o

Janet Palmer - I hope you have this one printed BIG :)

Ruth[less] - Hell no! :D

Fevah - Are there any three more gorgeous dogs in the world? *sigh*

Ruth[less] - Sounds good :) Home visits are my preference anyway, as long as there's plenty of natural light. Parks are too distracting. Gimme a shout in the NY? x

Andrea - What a great photo…
We would still love you to photograph Bean….problem is, can not trust her off lead….she tends to forget her name! Maybe a home visit would be the go??
Maybe in the NY? Would love you to catch up with her again too.
If it's here, maybe we can fit in a few wines too???
