On Friday I took a very quick detour on my way home to meet up with Anna from Arctic Breed Rescue to take some adoption photos of two of her charges who are looking for homes. We met at Milperra dog park as the sun was starting to go down. The light was fabulous and Crystal and Diesel were a pleasure to photograph.

Yesterday we took cute little Pommie to the beach to get photos for his adoption profile. Pommie is another Fetching Dogs rescue from Renbury Farm Animal Shelter. He was thought to have a neurological problem as he had bad balance and would fall over, but as soon as he went into foster care he was taken to the vet and diagnosed with nerve damage to one of his back legs. He’s a little slow to get around, but he doesn’t let anything get in the way of his adventurous spirit. He’s not much of a smiler, but he’s very affectionate, a quick learner and loves other dogs.

Quidditch is another Fetching Dogs rescue from Renbury Farm Animal Shelter. He’s not a huge fan of having his photo taken, but he still gave me some winning smiles to work with. Have you ever seen such a tongue?!

Yesterday we finally had a break in the rain and I got to photograph Draven the super cute Husky x puppy from Arctic Breed Rescue. He’s just a little bit photogenic!
He loves sticks almost as much as Bruno!
He doesn’t mind sharing his sticks, as long as it’s clear that they all belong to him! He’s a very confident 10 week old puppy.

Badger is another Fetching Dogs rescue. He was supposed to be the next dog I photographed for them but he went and got adopted. He came over for a playdate with Bruno yesterday but didn’t like the rude boy so I decided to take a couple of photos of him instead. Because he’s GORGEOUS! He did two of my favourite things…
