Miss Kiwi wasn’t so lucky, but that’s ok, ’cause I realllly wanted to meet her – what with her being a Staffy, and white – my favourite combination!

It was supposed to start with a two week adoption trial, but they said from the outset that a trial wouldn’t be necessary, they’re confident that he’s a keeper. I thought they’d be ringing me after the first night and begging me to take the little tornado of destruction back, but it’s been a week and he seems to be settling in really well! Although I think he was happy to see me, I don’t think he was too happy about all the Christmas props I brought with me!

As a little treat for being so good [or should I say massively sad and distracted], he got to have a rumble with Bruno afterwards!

I’ve gotten to a point where I presume I’ll have to reschedule a shoot at least two times before it happens! On Tuesday the sky was totally overcast and it was really windy so I stopped my car on the way to Annandale to confirm that Lisa really wanted to go ahead with Pepper and Gucci’s shoot. She said yes and I’m really glad that she did because photographing two very fluffy Pomeranians in the wind is fun!

Watching them run was probably the highlight of my day!

Gucci is a supermodel in the making. She totally worked the camera!

Nice owners, nice dogs, nice house and nice park – all the vital ingredients for a great session!

Please note that Gucci’s tear stains have been pulled back in some but not all of her photos for this blog post. Naturally they’ll be consistently done in any images that Lisa buys at her ordering session.

They met on lead at dog training yesterday but today was their first off lead romp. Cocoa has an equally rambunctious play style so they’re a perfect match for each other. The weather was utterly rubbish and the park was over-run with dog walkers, but we managed to grab fifteen minutes to ourselves between showers and boy did they make the most of it!

Cocoa will be spending Christmas with us, so I imagine you’ll be seeing more of her pretty face soon.

There was Stella and Petey from Puppy Love Rescue and then Bruce and Merlin from Towilla Amstaffs. This is Mack, Bruce and Merlin’s brother. He’s currently winging his way to Western Australia after spending 24hrs here to break up the long journey to his new home.

Him and Bruno had a great time playing together! There’s some footage of them playing tug here and biteyface here.

He can go either way with his ears, he looks equally cute regardless!

While our lot were having their walk with Dave this morning I took some photos of Mack inside. Such a shame he had to leave, I think he would make a great photographer’s muse.

He doesn’t realise he can push the wardrobe door closed to get to me so he just stands there looking pathetic!

Yes, his bottom lip is sticking out in the photo on the right and yes, I agree, it’s deadset adorable!

With no treats on offer he soon became bored and uncooperative. Considering he’s only about ten months old I think he did pretty well though. I might have to start thinking about getting him an agent!

Bruno will be the cover star of the next Urban Animal magazine. The online edition should be out any day now. The printed version will be in stores in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in early September.

Even though Bruno had fun playing with her I think eventually she would’ve broken his heart. She’s a demon!! If you don’t believe me, check out this video.

I never thought I say this, but I actually miss the little madam! I’m getting plenty of updates though and it sounds like she’s settling in well. Oddly enough, as soon as she found a home her doppelganger turned up in the pound. This is Petey [named after my Dad!], he’ll be going into foster care with Puppy Love Rescue tomorrow and will be available for adoption towards the end of August.

[Which reminds me, it's time to start dropping hints for mine!] Jethro is a one year old Rottie x Lab so I was pleasantly surprised to find he’s REALLY obedient. It helped that the camera just loves him too!

Jethro has already had two hip replacement surgeries and is due an operation on his elbow, but he can still run around like a lunatic puppy!

Don’t you just want to hug him? He’s like a big plush toy.

After all his hard work modeling and running around he relaxed for a cuddle with Lea… awwwwwww!

His name means little lion and when he struck this pose for me I thought it was utterly appropriate!

Xiao Ni’s owners are about to fly back to the UK to get married. Because he can’t go with them, his “Dad” arranged to have some photos done to give to his fiancé on their wedding morning. How sweet.

Xiao Ni lives in a city apartment, but it has a great rooftop terrace where he can run around with his Cuz toy. Such a playful little man!

After the terrace we took a stroll down to the local park, but Xiao Ni was tuckered out after all his running around so he just sat quietly on the bench looking handsome.

It’ll come as no surprise to anyone that Bruno is now officially a foster failure. He’s slotting into the pack nicely and although he’s not quite the perfect puppy that he hoodwinked me into thinking he was, he’s still pretty well behaved compared to Chopper at his age!
