Petey’s first Christmas | Sydney Dog Photographer

Little Orphan Petey went to his new home last weekend. It was supposed to start with a two week adoption trial, but they said from the outset that a trial wouldn’t be necessary, they’re confident that he’s a keeper. I thought they’d be ringing me after the first night and begging me to take the little tornado of destruction back, but it’s been a week and he seems to be settling in really well! Although I think he was happy to see me, I don’t think he was too happy about all the Christmas props I brought with me!

Sniper dog.

As a little treat for being so good [or should I say massively sad and distracted], he got to have a rumble with Bruno afterwards!

Petey has his own Facebook page now if you’d like to follow his life in his new home > www.facebook.com/PeteyTheWonderDog

Tegan - Lovely photos. So glad Petey found his forever home. :)

Mel Hammonds - Great shots, Ruth! Those expressions are priceless!

Sam - Such a handsome boy! Merry Christmas Petey. My favourite is the shot with Petey wearing the gold ruffled collar with a grassy background and he has one ear up, one ear down but they’re all lovely shots.

Bruno Loves Cocoa | Sydney Dog Photographer

Bruno had a play date with my friend’s foster dog today. They met on lead at dog training yesterday but today was their first off lead romp. Cocoa has an equally rambunctious play style so they’re a perfect match for each other. The weather was utterly rubbish and the park was over-run with dog walkers, but we managed to grab fifteen minutes to ourselves between showers and boy did they make the most of it!

Cocoa will be spending Christmas with us, so I imagine you’ll be seeing more of her pretty face soon.

kate - so good to see pics of dogs playing together like this without some horrible headline or attachment stating how hideous and vicious they are!! if you were to capture my dog mid play many photos would look the same, she is just having fun.. they jump, they wrestle, they show their teeth, thats dogs at play! keep up the great work in supporting these beautiful breed of dogs, one of which has brought endless joy into my life! the more we can educate people about how to care properly for their dogs the better this world will be…

Mack attack | Sydney puppy photographer

If you’re a fan of my Facebook page you might have seen a whole heap of photos of red and white Amstaff puppies recently! There was Stella and Petey from Puppy Love Rescue and then Bruce and Merlin from Towilla Amstaffs. This is Mack, Bruce and Merlin’s brother. He’s currently winging his way to Western Australia after spending 24hrs here to break up the long journey to his new home.

Him and Bruno had a great time playing together! There’s some footage of them playing tug here and biteyface here.

He can go either way with his ears, he looks equally cute regardless!

While our lot were having their walk with Dave this morning I took some photos of Mack inside. Such a shame he had to leave, I think he would make a great photographer’s muse.

There’s one more video you might enjoy… this is Angel with Mack… what a fruitcake!!

Janet Palmer - oh man, im in serious puppy love… totally gorgeous

Jade - Love love love those ears! :)

Alison Mayfield - EARS!!! Love them!!

Bedroom eyes | Sydney dog photographer

Bruno was being incredibly cute this morning [oh who am I kidding, he's incredibly cute all the time!] so I grabbed my camera and took some photos of him in the bedroom.

Please can I get on the bed?

He doesn’t realise he can push the wardrobe door closed to get to me so he just stands there looking pathetic!

Yes, his bottom lip is sticking out in the photo on the right and yes, I agree, it’s deadset adorable!

With no treats on offer he soon became bored and uncooperative. Considering he’s only about ten months old I think he did pretty well though. I might have to start thinking about getting him an agent!

Bruno will be the cover star of the next Urban Animal magazine. The online edition should be out any day now. The printed version will be in stores in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in early September.

Alison Mayfield - I just love these photos! I love all your photos! SO AMAZING! (and Bruno def. needs an agent!!)

Darren - Ugh. It’s disgusting how adorable he is.

Pearla Ordillo - What a spunk!

Mel S - Be careful, he’s so photogenic your camera lens might crack from the pressure! ;)

Gosia - Hi I’m from Poland and I’m your FB “friend”:) I just want to say I LOVE your dogs and your photos (those colours!!) !!!! I think Australian pet photographers are the best :) I wish you could photograph my 3 pugs :) Hugzz Gosia

Chung Hua Siong - The eyes speak volumes… gorgeous depth!

Charlotte Reeves - Born model! Perfect photographer’s dog he is.

Stellaaaaaaaa! | Sydney Puppy Photographer

Stella [the lost puppy] spent a couple of days here last week before going to her new home. I thought she’d be here for longer so I didn’t take as many photos as I would’ve liked to. What a shame, she’s such a pretty little thing.

Stink eye!

Even though Bruno had fun playing with her I think eventually she would’ve broken his heart. She’s a demon!! If you don’t believe me, check out this video.

Speaking of videos, you should watch this one of them too, it’s kind of adorable!

I never thought I say this, but I actually miss the little madam! I’m getting plenty of updates though and it sounds like she’s settling in well. Oddly enough, as soon as she found a home her doppelganger turned up in the pound. This is Petey [named after my Dad!], he’ll be going into foster care with Puppy Love Rescue tomorrow and will be available for adoption towards the end of August.

Pamila Schwartz - I hope she found a terrifficcccc forever home…. she is a precious little one that promises to be a great one…..

Ian J - Awww, man, Stella, she is GORGEOUS!!! I bet it was hard not to keep her! And that second video of her and Bruno…IM IN LOVE! :) Bruno seems very gentle with her :)

Sarah - I am in love with Stella! If I lived in Sydney, we would adopt her in a second. What a beautiful girl, and as always, gorgeous photos.
