It’s that time of year again! This year’s calendar is very special to me. It’s a selection of rescued bull breeds that I photographed in 2010/11. These are the lucky ones that got a second chance and are now living new lives in great homes. Unfortunately bull breeds are massively over-represented in pounds and shelters around the country, so all profits from the sale of this calendar will go to help death row or rescued bull breeds in need in Australia.

Non-Australia residents may find it cheaper to buy one from my RedBubble store as they ship from all over the world so shipping costs are lower. They’re more expensive and the design is different but the images and overall quality are just as good and they still raise money for bull breeds in need.
What else do I get?
A set of desktop wallpaper calendars comes free with every purchase. Sizes available are 1024×768, 1280×1024, 1280×800, 1440×900, 1680×1050 and 1920×1200.
The calendars are A3 with silver spiral binding and a hanger. The covers are double-sided and printed on a beautiful 300gsm stock. The internal pages are printed on 150gsm and have plenty of room for writing birthdays, appointments, hot dates, etc. on each day. They come shrink wrapped and are posted in rigid mailers for protection.
If you want to check out the images in detail, you can do so at my RedBubble store, as all the images from the calendar are available for purchase there as greeting cards, postcards, prints, etc.
UPDATE: Thanks to everyone that bought a calendar. $1400 was raised which has now been split between Puppy Love Rescue, Fetching Dogs, Stafford Rescue Victoria and Staffords in Need to help them to continue rescuing bull breeds in need.

Stunning Ruth, and such a great cause. I have to ask who is the dog in the top row (of the 12 images together) on the far right? He/she is identical to my girl I gasped when I saw the image, I thought it was my girl!

I had some blogging planned for the end of 2010, but my web guy was moving my site to another host so it had to be postponed because we went away on holidays before he was finished. We got back last night and now I have two 16GB memory cards worth of photos to sift through! I’ve been doing photography for a lot longer than a year, but I only launched the Ruthless Photos website a year ago. It’s been a great year and I’ve gotten to meet some fabulous dogs and their owners. Yes I come home covered in hair and slobber and sometimes bruised and scratched, but to get paid for doing something you love makes it the best job in the world. Long may it continue!
