I feel your pain with the untrained dogs in a short period of time. I have a hard time getting the un-neutered boys at the Animal Shelter to stop sniffing pee long enough to just lift their head! Great pictures. They are all so cute.

Ruth, I'm a friend of Anna's who moved to America a year and a half ago. I just wanted to say THANK YOU for doing this work. The shots are absolutely beautiful, and the special little seniors need all the help they can get to find forever homes. They are so often overlooked which is beyond me because they are the easiest dogs you can imagine! Sometimes a gorgeous photo can make all the difference in finding the right family, and you've just taken several amazing ones! Well done. P.S. You should photograph some Greyhounds. They need lots of help, too, and they are amazing subjects for photographs!

Thanks! I generally use treats or toys to get their attention. I use a high shutter speed too cause they don't stand still for long!

I love these photos! I saw this linked on Anna's facebook page. You've really done a great thing here:) If only I had your photography skills to photograph my ever moving rescue rats! - any tips on how to catch fast moving critters on film?

Love your work. It's like you've captuered their little personalities and given them hope for the future:)
